The short answer
CraftEdge Painters serves Boca Raton, Highland Beach and Delray Beach with interior and exterior painting, cabinet work and pressure washing. Coastal homes here get prep aimed at salt, sun and storm-season moisture.
Our Palm Beach County work is concentrated in the southern end of the county, in Boca Raton, Highland Beach and Delray Beach. These cities sit roughly thirty miles north and east of our Coral Springs base, a straightforward drive up the coast. Because the trip is longer than our Broward jobs, we group visits and plan each project day carefully so the crew arrives early and makes full use of the dry morning hours.
Three different coastal settings
Highland Beach is a narrow strip between the Intracoastal and the ocean, so nearly every building there deals with direct salt spray and strong wind. Boca Raton mixes oceanfront and Intracoastal properties with large inland neighborhoods and gated communities further west. Delray Beach has a similar spread, with homes near the beach, along the waterway and in quieter streets away from the shore.
That variety means no single exterior plan fits the area. A house a few blocks from the sand needs more attention to salt and corrosion, while a western Boca home behaves more like an inland Broward property where sun fading and mildew are the main concerns.
Prep that matches salt air
Salt crystals on a wall attract moisture and keep paint from bonding. Before any coating goes on a coastal home, surfaces are washed and then rinsed again with fresh water. We look closely at railings, light fixtures, garage door tracks and window frames for rust, which needs to be cleaned back and primed with a rust-inhibiting product.
- Fresh-water rinse after pressure washing
- Rust removal and metal primer on exposed hardware
- Sealing gaps around windows and doors against wind-driven rain
- Coatings selected for UV and moisture resistance
Condos, associations and approvals
Many residences in these three cities belong to condo or homeowner associations that control exterior colors and sometimes the timing of work. We are glad to prepare the color references and product data sheets that boards typically request, and to coordinate parking and access with building management. Inside individual units, we protect shared hallways and elevators and keep noise and dust to a minimum.
Planning around the weather
South Florida has no fully dry season. Between May and October, afternoon storms are common, and the Atlantic hurricane season covers June 1 through November 30. Owners who want exterior painting along the coast often choose the calmer, drier months from November into April. Interior painting, cabinet refinishing and drywall repair can be scheduled any month, and they are a sensible way to use the rainier part of the year.
