The short answer
CraftEdge Painters works in Southwest Ranches, FL (33331), about 15 miles southwest of Coral Springs. We paint homes and outbuildings, stain fences and decks, and pressure wash driveways, with outdoor work planned around summer storms.
Southwest Ranches is a town with a more rural feel than most of Broward County, sitting about 15 miles southwest of our Coral Springs base in ZIP code 33331. Properties here often come with bigger lots, long driveways, wood or vinyl fencing, gates, sheds and detached garages, so a painting project rarely ends at the front door. Our crews plan for that scope from the first visit. We paint main houses inside and out, stain fencing and decks, pressure wash hardscapes and outbuildings, and handle cabinets, trim and drywall when the inside needs attention too.
Projects That Go Beyond the House
On a large property, the main residence is only one piece. Fences, gates, barns, sheds, guest quarters and pool cabanas all weather at different rates, and each surface needs its own product. Painting everything at once can give a property a consistent, cared-for look, but it also means sorting priorities, since a long fence line can rival a house in square footage.
During the walkthrough, we look at every structure you want included, note which ones are wood, metal, stucco or vinyl, and break the scope into clear phases. You can then decide to tackle it all in one go or spread it across the drier months.
- Main house exterior repaint, including fascia and soffits
- Wood fence and gate staining or painting
- Shed, barn and detached garage repaints
- Metal gate and railing rust treatment and coating
Long Fence Lines and Outdoor Wood
Wood fencing under full sun dries out, grays and splinters, while sections near irrigation or low ground stay damp and soften. Before staining, we clean the boards, let them dry, and replace or flag rotted pickets and posts. Stain choice depends on the look you want: a semi-transparent stain shows the grain, while a solid stain hides weathering and lasts longer between coats.
Decks and wooden steps get the same cleaning and drying sequence, plus light sanding where the surface has raised fibers.
Pressure Washing Driveways and Hardscapes
Long concrete or paver driveways collect dirt, tire marks, algae and rust stains from irrigation water. We pressure wash driveways, walkways, patios and pool decks, using lower pressure on pavers and soft surfaces to avoid damage. Washing is also the first step of any exterior repaint, since paint needs a clean surface to grip.
Orange and brown streaks on walls and concrete often come from well water used for irrigation. Ordinary washing does not lift those stains, so we treat them with a dedicated cleaner before painting. Redirecting sprinkler heads away from fresh paint helps the new finish stay clean much longer.
Barn and garage slabs, horse wash areas and equipment pads can also be cleaned as part of the same visit, which saves a separate trip.
Inside the Home
Ranch-style homes often have long hallways, high ceilings in main rooms and plenty of trim. We patch drywall, caulk gaps, and paint walls, ceilings, doors and baseboards. Kitchen and bath cabinet painting is a popular update, and we spray a hard enamel finish after careful cleaning and priming. Textured popcorn ceilings can be removed and skimmed smooth.
Timing Outdoor Work
Broward's climate has no fully dry season. May through October brings heat, humidity and afternoon thunderstorms, and hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30. Outdoor wood and large exteriors do best in the drier stretch from November into April, when boards and walls stay dry long enough for proper penetration and cure. When summer work is needed, we start early and stop coating before afternoon rain.
Open properties can also catch more wind during storms. If severe weather is on the way, we secure equipment and materials and return once the site is dry.
Nearby Communities
Our Southwest Ranches crews also serve Plantation, Sunrise, Lauderhill, Tamarac and Lauderdale Lakes.
Because a single property here can take more than a few days, we leave a clear daily plan with you, note which gates and areas need to stay open for animals or deliveries, and close up the work zone neatly every evening.
